"A

" A Brief Guide to the Fast Tracking Fiddle" (Violin and Viola)
These
violin teaching DVDs and videos show beginners on camera learning "from
scratch", and include the first ever violin lessons of a 5-year
old girl and a nearly 50 year old man. The final section contains an
8-year old having her first ever viola lesson, on camera. This
viola is a 1/4 size instrument with a rich tone, made to a new design -
much better than playing a violin strung as a viola [as in former years
- the only option...]. These small size instruments are specially imported
by Beare & Son Ltd and are new to this country.
The prototype was designed in 1999 by Don Henneman (of Beare & Son
Ltd).
The
full length DVD (87 minutes) is for teachers
and pupils, to use in conjunction with the Fast Tracking books. The
'Brief Guide' is to give those whose viewing time is
limited a chance to sample this radical new approach.
These
DVDs have been made by Howard
Garton of Garton Film and Video and
are available to order online from this website.
